Best Resource To Exercise On The Go Or At Home

Learn how to live a healthy lifestyle at home and when you’re traveling. With this Pilate’s resource you will be able to do just that and stay healthy long term. As a Pilate’s Instructor myself I still like to get motivation and take classes from other instructors. It’s important to keep moving especially if you are on the go a lot and need some time for your own body to get into alignment. I’ll let you in on a little secret and my personal favorite resource I use to take classes on the go.

Pilate’s Anytime is an online resource that has hundreds of videos for you to enjoy anywhere and anytime! See what I did there? haha The videos are broken up into different categories based on level, apparatus, props/no props, instructors, training, duration etc. You’re able to pick and choose what kind of workout if best for your body that day.

If I’m on the go I don’t always have access to Pilate’s Equipment so Mat classes are my usual go to. Depending on what small props I packed or can replicate will help me pick the class.

I’ll usually bring a resistance band and maybe a circle if I have the space in my luggage. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about that’s ok too!

What is Pilate’s?

Pilate’s is a resistance based form of exercise that uses both springs and your own body weight to lengthen, tone, and gain mobility/flexibility. There are specific exercises for each body part and even full body exercises that work simultaneously. What originally attracted me to Pilate’s was the fact it’s flexible. You are able to individualize the exercises to fit the needs of your own body. Sometimes props are used like the resistance band, ball, circle, roller to add another dimension to the workout. That is all personal preference.

Not everyone is the same which is amazing, so your fitness routine should fit to you and what you need will shift and change over time. With Pilate’s Anytime I can pick and choose for my body just like you can do the same for your’s. I’ve been practicing for almost 9 years now and every workout is different especially when I’m traveling and carrying luggage, on and off airplanes, ferry’s etc.

If you are on equipment and have no prior experience I would definitely recommend going to a studio and working with an instructor first to get acquainted with the anatomy of the apparatus.
