The Ultimate Guide To Sightseeing Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a great city with plenty to see and do. My Ultimate Guide To Sightseeing the city will give you many options to explore. From celebrity sightings, hikes, walking tours, and best food to check out. Sightseeing Los Angeles will be a breeze! Check out all of the goodies below.

Venice Sights To Explore

The Venice Canals are one of the most popular spots to check out in this area. They have been featured in many films along with lots cool spots to take those Instagram pics! There are several canals to take a stroll down and enjoy the California weather.

Venice Beach/Boardwalk are a must! You have the beach, chill slow vibe of the area, and lots of little shops to check out along the way

Murals are very popular and quite the rage in Venice. So much artistry and diversity celebrated along the walls of Venice. They are literally everywhere.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica Pier is iconic but can be VERY crowded. I wouldn’t recommend going here on a weekend! But you can do all of the carnival type games and rides. Get your cotton candy and popcorn at the same time you listen to some street musicians

The Beach is great and a pretty good long walk if you decide to walk from Venice to Santa Monica like I did. #cardio And don’t forget to take those Life Guard hut pictures!

Studio Central

Universal Studios in Studio City is worth every penny. I would have spent all day in The Wizarding World of  Harry Potter if I could! It was like a literal magical dream. I recommend going on an off day because weekends can get crowded.

WB Lot allows you to see all of the sets and lots that some of the most iconic/classic movies were made on. Not to mention…THE FRIENDS SET is at the WB Studios Lot! I’m such a huge friends fam so that was a major highlight.

If you need more info on these two check out my full Guide To Universal and WB Studios

Hollywood

Hollywood Walk Of Fame seem to be on everyones list for sightseeing Los Angeles. I don’t want to be a downer but it’s literally just a dirty street that has gum and “dirt” all over the place. Highly overcrowded, tourist central, but Jimmy Kimmel does film there if you want to try and get in on a taping of the show.

Hollywood Sign

Griffith Park Observatory has the best views of the city! If it isn’t on your list for sightseeing Los Angeles then it should be. Take an Uber/Lyft up to the Observatory at sunset and take a look at Los Angeles from new heights. The Observatory itself is pretty cool but that view is what I went for and is worth the Uber $$.

Take a Hike From Griffith Park Observatory to the Hollywood Sign. This i suggest doing during the morning or midday time. It took me and my friend about 3 hours! Pack lots of water and unless you don’t want to walk back you can always get a ride from the Hollywood Sign back into town. Just be aware that the service at both the Observatory and Sign is very spotty and can be hard to connect to get a driver.
