Best Vegan Friendly Restaurants in Denver

If you’re Vegan you know that eating out can sometimes be a challenge especially depending on where you are or traveling too. Denver has some great Vegan options to explore both in the downtown area and one of my favorites in Breckenridge. Below is a list of my top five favorite restaurants in Denver with vegan options to enjoy!

City O’City

City O’ City has a few great options to try that are completely vegan! My favorite was the Roasted Brussels Sprout Salad and Chipotle Quinoa Bowl. The salad had a really nice mixture of sweet and tangy mixed in with some almond nuts and cranberries. If you love a good spicy meal then the Chipotle Bowl will be right up your alley. It was definitely different than what I was expecting but a good surprise!

Great for both Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Late Night Eats! The atmosphere is a little bit more on the trendy side especially because they cater to Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free customers. I wouldn’t say it’s a cheap place to eat but for the area and quality it’s pretty reasonably priced.

Watercourse Foods

Labeled as Vegan comfort food and Denver’s Original Vegan Restaurant it’s a Vegan Paradise! They prepare their menu fresh every day and are inclusive to majority of dietary specialties. Price is reasonable and the comfort food available is off the charts! So many delicious options like breakfast burritos, pancakes, sandwiches, nachos, salads, burgers, tacos, mac n’cheese, and more. Go ahead and open your Maps and star this restaurant because you really don’t want to forget this experience!

Jelly Cafe

Jelly Cafe is amazing! With Gluten Free Donuts and a great breakfast menu what’s not to love?! The coffee there is also pretty great. Before I was Vegan I ate the Eggs Benedict but now I would go for the avocado toast with gluten free bread. Sometimes you have to modify things slightly to fit your dietary needs especially going out. Jelly’s is a great choice with Vegan and Vegetarian friendly options and just pick and choose what to modify.

I’m also Gluten-Free so finding restaurants that have both options is a win for me! You know how they say food is the way to a man’s heart well I guess that same saying applies to me! If you have food I can eat (V/GF) then I’m the happiest camper! Prices are pretty average here nothing too fancy and the atmosphere is really nice and warm/inviting.

Vital Root

Vital Root is a little bit outside of downtown and leans more towards the Vegan than Gluten Free diet. Breakfast lunch and dinner options with plenty of vegan eats to choose. Just make sure to tell the waiter your dietary restrictions and they can help you out with any questions. Great place to eat for a quick bite with both friends and family on your travels.

Piante Pizzeria

I love pizza and that was one of the things I thought I would miss by going vegan. With places like Piante I don’t have to miss it and can actually enjoy every bite!! Piante is hands down the best Vegan/GF Pizzeria I have come across. MOD holds a close second but Piante takes first place. This particular pizzeria in Breckenridge is completely Vegan and they also offer GF crust! I was in food heaven! Try the Pesto Pizza you won’t regret it!

It’s family owned and operated which is awesome and such a cute interior. Instead of bringing the check in a normal case they had them in different sized books. Something I hadn’t seen before and gave it a unique personal touch.
