6 Affordable Vegan Restaurants in Bali

Bali is what I call my Food Heaven because it’s a Vegan/Gluten Free Girls PARADISE!! I could eat at soooo many different restaurants and didn’t have to sit on my phone for forever trying to find a place. They are everywhere! The hard part was having so many options I didn’t know what to choose.

I made a list of my FAVORITE restaurants in Bali that are also affordable. Many Vegan restaurants can be more pricy but these were pretty reasonable and delicious!

Kafe

I think I ordered everything they had on their menu! Kafe is located in Ubud and they have both Gluten Free AND Vegan options. I had their Omega Shake, Vegan Burger with Gluten Free Bread, and Almond Coconut Cake….Needless to say I was a happy camper!

It was easy to just bring my laptop and work/eat while I chilled in Ubud. They have free WiFi for their customers which made it easy to sit and relax for awhile and stay out of the heat.

They have a huge menu of shakes, sandwhichs, wraps, small bites, deserts, and more! If I had more time I’m sure I would have gone through more of their menu but what I did try was amazing! I would end up spending 60-80,000 IDR on the main course and then if I wanted desert it was usually around 30,000 IDR.

Just be aware that it gets packed and if there isn’t space downstairs they have more seating available upstairs!

Zula’s

Located in Seminyak, Zula’s is a cute cafe/shop with MANY specialty options on the menu, shelves, and even a little fridge of take away deserts. I orders a veggie wrap that was PACKED full and HUGE! I had so much food on my plate I had to get a take away for later. It also came with sweet potato fries that were amazing.

The price was similar to Kafe and in close walking distance to my bnb which was perfect! If you are looking for healthy lunch tips this cafe will have plenty of inspiration If you are in Seminyak for a little while and want to get some nice cooking ingredients then I would recommend Zula’s.

Ling-Ling’s

Such a cool atmosphere and menu! I had the portobello mushroom lettuce wraps and although a little bit more on the expensive side they were worth it! They have shakes, veggie sushi, Jackfruit sushi which was good, and other options here and there on the menu to explore.

Definitely worth a try if you’re in the Seminyak/Kuta area. For the foodie lover you can get a lot out of this dinning experience with not just great food but really interesting drinks too!

Grain

Located in Seminyak and home to the best gluten-free chocolate cake in Bali or at least the only one I could find haha. It was rich and moist which I know people hate that word but I don’t know how else to describe it! The deserts and drinks weren’t only delicious but everything on the menu was enjoyable and plenty of flavor. I ate here often as well since the food was good, price was reasonable, and close to my bnb.

The atmosphere is very trendy Bali so don’t expect an “authentic” Balinese experience. On another note, since you can’t drink their tap water I was always excited to fill up my water bottle in restaurants if they allow you to. Grain is one of those awesome places!! Just ask and they have a little station for it.

Echo Beach Club

Echo Beach Club is a great spot on the water in Canggu! One of my favorite locations to eat at and you know why?! Because they have BBQ and Vegetable Skewers! As a Vegan it can be difficult to find a BBQ restaurant that you can eat at with something other than just potatoes. They keep it buffet style to where you walk up, can choose which type of skewer you want, add a salad, drinks etc and you’re set!

They did a great job with flavor and now I’m pretty sure that they cook them all on the same grill but for me that’s ok. The atmosphere is great because you’re literally right on the water. With music, great location, and perfect price, you couldn’t ask for a better night out!

Taco Beach Grill

As a girl from Texas, I wasn’t too sure how the Mexican food would be all the way out in Bali. I was pleasantly surprised at how great this place was and the flavor was amazing! The atmosphere was really authentic, great music, food, and drinks.

I had the “Carne Asada” Tempe Tacos which were hard to eat with the taco shell but amazing flavor and texture. I hadn’t experienced Tempe tacos before but it was a success! If you’re in the Seminyak area give it a try because this restaurant is definitely worth it.

There are PLENTY of Vegan restaurants or options in Bali. Prices can vary but these are my favorite restaurants that offer gluten-free and vegan options! Bali is my food heaven and a place you might find me living one day haha.
